I currently teach community nurses IV therapy and they are administering antibiotics through CVC but there is an increasng number of patients who will be having antibiotic therapy via peripheral cannula. The antibiotics vary but i am interested in getting together an extravasation policy for the community and would appreciate any information that people may have on the management of antibiotic extravasation.
